Guidelines for Nomination of an Acrobatic Gymnastics/Cheer Legend
- Ideally, would have had a minimum of 5 years as a competitive athlete.
- Ideally, would have had a minimum of 2 years as a competitive athlete at a National level.
- Ideally, would have had a minimum of 2 years as an athlete at an International level.
- Preferably, would have participated in a World and/or Olympic Competition.
- Preferably, would have won a World and/or Olympic Competitive Medal.
- Define any impact this nominee has had in this discipline beyond competitive involvement.
Guidelines for Nomination of an Artistic Gymnastics Legend
- Ideally, would have had a minimum of 5 years as a competitive athlete.
- Ideally, would have had a minimum of 4 years as a competitive athlete at a National level.
- Ideally, would have had a minimum of 2 years as an athlete at an International level.
- Preferably, would have participated in a World and/or Olympic Competition.
- Preferably, would have won a World and/or Olympic Competitive Medal.
- Define any impact this nominee has had in this discipline beyond competitive involvement.
Guidelines for Nomination of a Diving Legend
- Ideally, would have had a minimum of 5 years as a competitive athlete.
- Ideally, would have had a minimum of 4 years as a competitive athlete at a National level.
- Ideally, would have had a minimum of 2 years as an athlete at an International level.
- Preferably, would have participated in a World and/or Olympic Competition.
- Preferably, would have won a World and/or Olympic Competitive Medal.
- Define any impact this nominee has had in this discipline beyond competitive involvement.
Guidelines for Nomination of an Extreme Sports Legend
- Ideally, would have had a minimum of 5 years as a competitive athlete.
- Ideally, would have had a minimum of 2 years as a competitive athlete at a National level.
- Ideally, would have had a minimum of 2 years as an athlete at an International level.
- Preferably, would have participated in a World and/or Olympic Competition.
- Preferably, would have won a World and/or Olympic Competitive Medal.
- Define any impact this nominee has had in this discipline beyond competitive involvement.
Guidelines for Nomination of a Professional Acrobatic Legend
- Ideally, would have had a minimum of 5 years as a professional acrobat.
- Preferably, would have spent time as a professional acrobat at a National level.
- Ideally, would have had a minimum of 2 years as professional acrobat at an International level.
- Preferably, would have participated in World/International level performances.
- Preferably, would have receive World/International recognition.
- Define any impact this nominee has had in this discipline beyond professional participation.
Guidelines for Nomination of a Tumbling/Trampoline Legend
- Ideally, would have had a minimum of 5 years as a competitive athlete.
- Ideally, would have had a minimum of 2 years as a competitive athlete at a National level.
- Ideally, would have had a minimum of 5 years as an athlete at an International level.
- Preferably, would have participated in World and/or Olympic Competition.
- Preferably, would have won a World and/or Olympic Competitive Medal.
- Define any impact this nominee has had in this discipline beyond competitive involvement.
Guidelines for Nomination of a Lifetime Achievement Award
- Ideally, would have had a minimum of 10 years as a competitive athlete.
- Ideally, would have had a minimum of 30 additional years of involvement in a WAS discipline.
- Preferably, would have time given to a WAS discipline at a National level.
- Preferably, would have time given to a WAS discipline at an International level.
- Preferably, would have spent time as a competitive athlete at an International level.
- Nominee should fill the criteria in at least 1 of the following 3 areas:
- - Coached or Taught in a WAS discipline for ____ years at a State Level, ____ years at a National Level, ____ years at an International Level.
- - Writing or Authoring about/within a WAS discipline, with 2 or more published works.
- - Invented or Manufactured new pieces of equipment or apparatus. Describe Innovations/Manufacturing.
Guidelines for Nomination of a Golden Achievement Award
- Ideally, would have had a minimum of 3 years as a competitive athlete in a WAS discipline.
- Ideally, would have had a minimum of 10 years involvement in at least 1 of the listed areas below that are outside of a WAS discipline.
- Define the impact had on the nation or world in one or more of the following:
- Politics:
- Administration:
- Medicine:
- Innovation/Invention:
- Manufacturing:
- Writing:
- Choreographing
- Coaching:
- Teaching:
Guidelines for Nomination of a Charlie Pond Service Award
- Must have had a minimum of 3 years as a paid-up member of WAS.
- Must have had a minimum of 3 years contributing valuable services to WAS.
