Guidelines for Nomination of an Acrobatic Gymnastics/Cheer Legend
- Minimum of 5 years as a competitive athlete.
- Minimum of 2 years as a competitive athlete at a National level.
- Minimum of 2 years as an athlete at an International level.
- Participated in or won a World and/or Olympic Medal/Competition.
- Made an impact in this discipline beyond competitive involvement.
- Is well-known in their field and had profound success.
Guidelines for Nomination of an Artistic Gymnastics Legend
- Minimum of 5 years as a competitive athlete.
- Minimum of 4 years as a competitive athlete at a National level.
- Minimum of 2 years as an athlete at an International level.
- Participated in or won a World and/or Olympic Medal/Competition.
- Made an impact in this discipline beyond competitive involvement.
- Is well-known in their field and had profound success.
Guidelines for Nomination of a Diving Legend
- Minimum of 5 years as a competitive athlete.
- Minimum of 4 years as a competitive athlete at a National level.
- Minimum of 2 years as an athlete at an International level.
- Participated in or won a World and/or Olympic Medal/Competition.
- Made an impact in this discipline beyond competitive involvement.
- Is well-known in their field and had profound success.
Guidelines for Nomination of an Extreme Sports Legend
- Minimum of 5 years as a competitive athlete.
- Minimum of 2 years as a competitive athlete at a National level.
- Minimum of 2 years as an athlete at an International level.
- Participated in or won a World and/or Olympic Medal/Competition.
- Made an impact in this discipline beyond competitive involvement.
- Is well-known in their field and had profound success.
Guidelines for Nomination of a Professional Acrobatic Legend
- Minimum of 5 years as a professional athlete.
- Spent time as a professional acrobat at a National level.
- Minimum of 2 years as a professional acrobat at an International level.
- Participated in World/International level performances or received world/international recognition.
- Made an impact in this discipline beyond competitive involvement.
- Is well-known in their field and had profound success.
Guidelines for Nomination of a Tumbling/Trampoline Legend
- Minimum of 5 years as a competitive athlete.
- Minimum of 2 years as a competitive athlete at a National level.
- Minimum of 5 years as an athlete at an International level.
- Participated in or won a World and/or Olympic Medal/Competition.
- Made an impact in this discipline beyond competitive involvement.
- Is well-known in their field and had profound success.
Guidelines for Nomination of an Acrobatic Excellence Award Candidate
- Highly recognized performance organization.
- Ideally, a minimum of 25 years displaying acrobatic excellence at events or promoting such events
at a National or International level. - Made a strong impact beyond entertainment performance value in the areas of education or inspiration, on the Nation or Internationally.
- Displays unique characteristics making the nominee highly qualified and rare.
Guidelines for Nomination of a Lifetime Achievement Award
- Minimum of 10 years as a competitive athlete.
- Minimum of 30 additional years of involvement in a WAS discipline.
- Significant time spent in that discipline at National & International level.
- Competitive athlete at a National or International level.
- Proven success in one of the below:
- - Coached or Taught in a WAS discipline for many years. Known for the development of high-level performance or other highly successful coaches.- Writer or Author on a WAS discipline. 2 or more published works that have had a profound influence on a WAS discipline.- Invented or Manufactured new pieces of equipment or apparatus that resulted in a profound performance improvement of any WAS discipline.
Guidelines for Nomination of a Golden Achievement Award
- Minimum of 3 years as a competitive athlete in a WAS discipline.
- Minimum of 10 years involvement in at least 1 of the listed areas below that are outside of a WAS discipline.
- Define the impact had on the nation or world in one or more of the following:
- Politics:
- Administration:
- Medicine:
- Innovation/Invention:
- Manufacturing:
- Writing:
- Choreographing
- Coaching:
- Teaching:
Guidelines for Nomination of a Charlie Pond Service Award
- Minimum of 3 years as a paid-up member of WAS.
- Minimum of 3 years contributing valuable services to WAS.
- List Nominee’s contributions to WAS:
- List any WAS office the nominee held and for how long:
